Very nice, Father. Both the Gospel and the nature of the Homily brought to my mind the "Living" quality of the WORD. Jesus allows each of us to approach His
message superficially through an initial point of entry of His Word at face value. He moves us forward and backward in time.
We can observe our present environment through His message. Finally, Jesus
applies His message intimately to each
unique consumer. In the case of the
subject at hand, He has us reflect on how the self has chipped away at the spirit. His Word moves about in our hearts and minds quietly and peacefully tidying up the place. The Alpha and The Omega...in the form of the WORD. What an amazing gift He extends to each of us in this exile! :-)
